I'm finding it hard to keep up with the blog these days. Here are some pics taken in Izzy's first month. Sleeping on a lazy, rainy Friday afternoon. What could be better than a hair cut in a pink Barbie jeep? A motorcycle, of course. I think this is how we will be getting Charlie's hair cut from now on. He loved it. Grammy, cousin Haley and Izzy.

Spring Regatta

Image
We had to get out of the house in those first few weeks with the new baby. We went to a regatta for the KU rowing team over at Wyandotte lake on Saturday. Charlie liked throwing rocks into the water and yelling "Rock Chalk KU" as the boats went by. Izzy was there but safely tucked away in Dad's arms, asleep the entire time.

Sweet baby pics

Just catching up with some pics of the baby. In her first few weeks, we tried about everything to get her to wake up...to no avail.

Easter 2011

Image
Our first major holiday with our family foursome. Pretty exciting. We dyed eggs, had an egg hunt, made it to church and took the Easter picture of the two kids I'd been envisioning since before Izzy's arrival. It was a lovely feeling to know that my family is all here now, we are a complete family unit. Charlie dyed Easter eggs for the first time this year. And it was the first time for Ryan and I in about 25 years. Its fun to be a kid again! Not much has changed in the basic process... As you will see throughout this post, this is the face Charlie makes when he says "Cheese!" Charlie knew just what to do for the egg hunt. Maybe it was his book 'Spot's first Easter' that had him prepped and ready to go, a very timely gift from Gram. "Cheese!" How long til goldfish and craisins won't fly in the Easter eggs? For once I had Easter outfits ahead of time. Knowing that I wouldn't have much time to shop on

Happy Anniversary!

I'm pretty sure had I told Ryan we would have two kids by our third wedding anniversary, I never would have gotten him down the aisle! But look at him now...a natural! I couldn't be happier with our beautiful family and the love we have. Looking forward to many more years together!

One month old today!

Izzy is much more alert these days, eyes open and checking out her surroundings. Can't believe 4 weeks have already gone by. It goes so fast.

Can you see the resemblance?

If you are wondering whether Charlie and Izzy look alike, check out these two pictures taken at about 3 1/2 weeks of both of them. Can you tell which one is which?
